The Heinz Endowments, a nationally recognized philanthropic leader, is looking for a Director of Information Technology to serve as the foundation's senior technology leader and trusted advisor on technology strategy, cybersecurity, enterprise risk, data governance and responsible AI adoption.
This role extends well beyond traditional IT operations.The successful candidate will develop and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with organizational priorities, protects sensitive information, ensures cyber resilience, and enables staff to leverage technology to improve collaboration, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness.
The Director will lead enterprise technology initiatives, oversee infrastructure and vendor partnerships, champion change management, and foster a culture where technology is secure, accessible, and viewed as a strategic business enabler.They will also guide the thoughtful implementation of artificial intelligence by establishing governance, identifying practical business applications, and ensuring new technologies are introduced responsibly, ethically, and securely.

Location: This position is based in Pittsburgh and is expected to work in the office Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $170,000–$192,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes outstanding healthcare coverage, generous retirement contributions and matching, paid time off, and paid parking downtown, among others.
