The Heinz Endowments is committed to transparency in all its grant-making activities, including its financial reporting. To that end, it is now standard practice for the foundation to post the latest audited financial reports and Form 990-PF tax returns on its Web site.

On Dec. 31, 2006, the Vira I. Heinz Endowment and the Howard Heinz Endowment were merged into a single institution that became legally designated as The Heinz Endowments. The Form 990-PFs for 2006 reflect this change and therefore show no assets for the Vira I. Heinz Endowment as of year-end. The audits present final pre-merger financial information for each endowment.
