It's Warm Inside

This weather, sheesh! Although we've been battling program delays and cancellations, we've been doing our best to stay warm. Our focus on cultures of the Caribbean have brought us to sweat away our longing for warmer days, almost. It is nearly forgotten once the drums start vibrating rhythms of our ancestral lineage. With this being Black History Month, we pay tribute to those who have come before, paving the way to days present where we can celebrate and share cultures of our lineage. With Legacy, we work to transmit traditions of the African diaspora from elders to youth, remembering that wisdom comes from experience. Our elders and ancestors teach us that challenges, such as Winter 2015, make us stronger and that we are equipped to overcome all obstacles.
